The thing is, Jarrett was awfully busy. He was a handler for Derek Haslam who gets a mention here.
The same Det Supt Dave Woods mentioned, is, of course, a close pal of Baroness O’Loan in charge of the Daniel Morgan Independent Panel, so naturally we may expect a neutral assessment in due time.
Before we leave the above article, time to illuminate a few points. Haslam is described as an “undercover informant” far nearer to what he is than Dodd’s earlier description. Haslam retired from the police on 19 Oct 1989 due to mental illness. As for a CHIS, that is rendered far clearer in South London argot as a “grass”. There we have it, a mad, alcoholic, mendacious, wasteman.
