The final installment in Peter Jukes risible attempt to hit the big time arrives, as a deflated Xmas present. First quarter hour is given over to the funeral, then wake, of Isobel Hulsmann (mother of Daniel Morgan and Alastair) with reminiscences of her arriving at the local police station at 3 am for a cup of tea and a doughnut.
Then Al Morgan decides to make public what we all knew all along – he supports the police. Off the drugs (?) Al now shills for The Met. Indeed his latest money spinning idea is a foundation in his murdered brother’s name, to restore confidence in Old Bill.
John Stevens (bent) and Dave Cook (ditto) are name checked. The Jimmy Cook retraction appears right before the end of the last episode, in the final series. Joint enterprise? Or simply a lack of weight in any judicial sense. Like a silver mine played out in Idaho, tumbleweed blows across Deeviya Meir’s desk. * See Update.
2018 promises to be an interesting year as January could see the Channel 4 documentary aired, then, in April, is the largest ever civil action in UK history with Team Rees and Team Vians taking on plod.
Jukes is to revamp his book with a second edition. On the subject of books my next blogge post shall deal with David Bray and his work.
*Update. DCS Dave Cook attempted to recruit Jimmy Cook, who was taken out of HMP Wandsworth. Jimmy then told Dave to “f*** off”. Dave Cook approached Mrs Jimmy Cook to get some co-operation. She gave a similar response.
