Odd that Laurie Flynn the coauthor of “The Untouchables” spoke in praise of Derek Haslam, as on page 12 of his book with Michael Gillard, Flynn stated that Haslam was spying on them.
This brings us to (redacted until April) a high ranking Metropolitan Police figure who summed up what Haslam was doing during his time in and around South Yorkshire.
“I must admit to being surprised by Laurie Flynn’s remarks. From what I knew of Haslam when he worked on the miners’ compensation scheme he was always a rather seedy and unsavoury character. His actions, sexist behaviour, penchant for teenage girls and general money grabbing demeanour were far from wholesome or honest let alone heroic.”
Small surprise, then, that Susan Haslam is now rumoured to be getting a divorce.
