Extensive use by Mirror Group News Desks of Private Investigators Exposed in Court
It is hardly news that Mirror Group News used private investigators. However, in light of ex Det Ch Supt Dave Cook swimming in his sea of venality with sharks and minnows (Yates and Haslam) we need to draw attention to Doleman and “Byline” remarks concerning the Daniel Morgan murder.
Jonathan Rees of “Southern Investigations” was the former partner of murdered business associate, Daniel Morgan. Five attempts by New Scotland Yard to fit up Jon Rees failed. A bug was placed in his Thornton Heath office by an ex Det Con, who was paid by the Metropolitan Police to garner any relevant information. The bug revealed nothing, the ex D.C who placed it then tried to implicate Rees in a plot to have a woman named Kim James jailed for drugs possession, in an acrimonious divorce battle. Elements of the subsequent arrest and jailing are now under intense scrutiny.
Likewise the conviction of the other partner, who replaced Morgan, Sid Fillery. Haslam, the half Jamaican D.C who planted the bugging device, was forced to quit the Met in Oct 1989 on mental illness grounds. He also had a conviction for death by drink driving. Not only that, but Haslam owned (and owns) a collection of child pornography that was placed on Fillery’s computer.
Peter Jukes and “Byline” are clutching at straws in an effort to deflect the coming storm surrounding Cook.

Can you clarify a few points? 1. Francis Willoughby Haslam (on your birth cert as your Father) was white, so, is it an early case of identity fraud or was he actually Jamaican or a US black serviceman? 2. Will you do a “Dave Cook” and claim mental illness, as you did in Oct 1989? 3. Why is your IP address the same as King’s Lynn Police station and P.C Jamie Haslam?
