Avon and Somers*t Police are digging themselves into an even deeper hole. In an attempt to distract from the car crash which is New Scotland Yard’s effort to avoid paying Jonathan Rees and other damages for the Daniel Morgan murder fiasco, they are digging up the Bulmer’s art theft debacle. Not content with one legal hiding they are after another.

In essence Jonathan Rees was a “middle man” endevouring to recover stolen goods for Hiscox insurers. Old Bill are furiously trying to link Mr Rees to all sorts of nefarious doings. They are failing miserably.

Now to Northern Ireland and Martin McGartland. The IOPC (rebranded from IPCC  otherwise I Protect Corrupt Cops) are name checked in the excellent “Private Eye”. Was it Northumbria Police who were engaged in use of excessive force and theft?
