One might be starting a degree in Law, at Oxford, or beginning to read Medicine at Cambridge, but one thing remains, solid facts. Evidence in the James Ibori case went “missing” just as it did with Jonathan Rees, and the Vian Brothers, who recently won £414,000 from the Metropolitan Police, and has more good news coming.
Sasha Wass, Q.C, hid evidence which could have exonerated the innocent, at the behest of New Scotland Yard. Even as I type, disgraced ex Det Ch Supt Dave Cook is unsuccessfully trying to wriggle out of a looming doom. Wass could convince him that a plea of mental illness will not work this time – instead Cook’s hope would to not to stand alone in the dock. Whatever the result, it bodes ill for Old Bill.
