The journey to Southampton Magistrates Court ought to have been a straightforward one, even though Mr Beardall is elderly and infirm. However, Det Con 23258 David Wheeler hadn’t informed either Barry Beardall, nor his legal representative, so when Hampshire police turned up one Noon in January 2020, it was quite a surprise. After being sent across the county, Barry Beardall was released and picked up (literally) at 5.30 am the following morning. He eventually appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court.
Neither Beardall, nor his solicitor, or Q.C, knew of any arrest warrant. In fact they were told that Wheeler was “stopping any warrant if issued”. Mendacity comes easily to Hampshire Constabulary.
Morganologists will know that Barry Beardall had a walk on part in “Untold”, where Jukes quite frankly slagged him off. Beardall knew Jonathan Rees and the other central figures, and was a target of known paid police perjurer, Derek G Haslam, now hiding out in Downham Market. Haslam linked to Hampshire, via his part in stealing documents and images in “Operation Abelard II” in which he was well paid by New Scotland Yard.
