Who really murdered Daniel Morgan, and why?

To begin, Goggzilla will examine the six remaining and strongest candidates in the Daniel Morgan murder cover up.

Alan “Taffy” Holmes. By far the weakest theory, Holmes committed suicide after enormous pressure from his fellow free mason, Derek G Haslam. The sole person named in the suicide note was Haslam who, as a result, had to leave Manor of Bensham 7114 lodge. Holmes was not a close associate of Morgan, Antonowicz stated that none of the leads which Morgan wanted money for, ever panned out.

Duncan Hanrahan. To which one may add “or an associate”. Again an implausible theory, it does not hold water.

SPR. As with the above, a member of the Metropolitan Police and therefore fitting the one known thing – that the murderer was in the police. SPR was high ranking, it seems dubious that he would risk everything to kill Morgan.

BWI. Crops up as a prime suspect.

TMC. Goggzilla is reserving judgement on this – strong indication that the “killer had a Scottish surname, similar to Mac(redacted)”. As TMC has a common Scots surname it is difficult to gain any further leads. May or may not have been in the police at the time.

FCR. Staggering that New Scotland Yard never dug into this “scary” policeman. He had means, motive and opportunity. Prime suspect and Commander Dave Johnston agreed that FCR was at the top of the list.

Now to motive. Only two tenable theories. Firstly adultery, Morgan was an enthusiastic cuckolder. Did a jealous policeman discover this too?

Drugs – not the recent Al Morgan theory that it was a multi million pound shipment that led to the 1987 murder. Small time, possibly a Maltese connection gone wrong. So there you have it, the police allowed Jonathan Rees to be framed to draw attention from one of their own.
