Bungled and inept policing bedevilled the Morgan murder inquiries, “Southern Investigations” partner Jonathan Rees was used as a scapegoat much as Barry George was in the Jill Dando assassination/murder. Another link, of course, is that Det Ch Supt Dave Cook was married to “Crimewatch” presenter, Jacqui Hames.
I met Barry a few years ago, he was an easy target for an increasingly desperate Metropolitan Police. One wonders how much input Dave Zinzan had in the “Line of duty” advice department? Zinzan was named as an “untouchable”. But what role did half Jamaican ex Det Con Derek G Haslam of Norfolk, play?
