After years of delay the inquiry led by Baroness O’Loan is to be published in three weeks. Perhaps Goggzilla could do a daily countdown, with Susie Dent? Given the hits on past posts here, Fintan Creaven (main suspect in the Morgan murder) ought to clear his diary.
O’Loan took over from Sir Stanley Burnton who was “got at”. Many look in askance at O’Loan’s role as she links to bent cops Chris Woods and Chris Jarratt. Possibly O’Loan will be watching “Line of duty” tonight?
Now to the narrative that has been pushed by Peter “the Armenian Ass” Jukes. It hinges on the suicide of Alan “Taffy” Holmes and falls apart under examination. There was no massive case of police corruption, merely an overtime scam at Catford police station.
What, then, was the motive, or motives, for Morgan’s murder? Either adultery or a connection to the Maltese drug trade. Jukes theory, regarding Holmes and the killing, is not tenable. It is of recent origin and has one source, serial fantasist Derek G Haslam now hiding in Norfolk. The dates, times and places have nothing to do with Nikolaus Chrastny, who is now in the USA.
How much attention will the inquiry give to the infiltration and sabotage of “Operation Abelard II”? Hampshi*e Police will be the subject of scrutiny, as will Det Ch Supt Dave Cook. A win/win situation for Goggzilla and police corruption campaigners everywhere.
Finally, rumours abound of a leaked copy of the inquiry being offered to foreign media. John Yates is going to be far from happy.
