Alan “Taffy” Holmes and other red herrings.

The monomania of many in the Metropolitan Police – such as Det Insp Allan Jones, led to Jonathan Rees of “Southern Investigations” being pursued as the sole line of inquiry in the Daniel Morgan murder.

9.20 pm, 10th March 1987, statement of Deborah Jane Armstrong, barmaid at the “Golden Lion”, Morgan bought two packets of ready salted “Golden Wonder” crisps. Morgan’s body was found 9.40 pm and Rees left the bar at 9.05 pm. Rees was on the phone, thus he could not have committed the murder.

Det Ch Supt Douglas Campbell ruled out drugs as a motive for the murder, that only leaves adultery.

Daniel Morgan was not going to the press about any police corruption case.

Regarding Fintan Creaven, other suspects are being named. Tony MacClean (or MacLean, or MacLaine) and Barry Wilmot (ex police) in addition to Peter Hicks.

The role of Stephen Warner in pointing New Scotland Yard in directions other than that of the real murderer must be addressed.

Sussex Police and Det Ch Supt Dave Cook (a proven perjurer) are high on Goggzilla’s list of “to do” items (Sgt Kevin Edney, you have not been forgotten) nor Sussex role in the James Ashley murder, or the Sion Jenkins fitting up.

Now we come to legal status. Was Derek G Haslam Randall Weems still in the police when he bugged “Southern”? Haslam’s statements are “unreliable and self contradictory”. Haslam was obsessed with getting back at Commander Ray Adams thus Det Sgt Alan “Taffy” Holmes was added to the heady mix in the Morgan murder. (Adams was annoyed that Haslam sole his vehicle and killed a pedestrian drunk driving in 1977). At this point, legally, Goggzilla will mention Peter Jukes “shared pursuit” with Haslam, of Rees. Jukes is alleged to have molested a 12 year old boy.

Hi Ciaran. Thanks for your hard work on the case. Presumably you hold strong evidence against Fintan Creaven, as you have named him repeatedly as your main suspect. Will you ever share this information? Without it your heavy accusations against a person long dead will feel slightly light. Very bests.
