So much for doing deals with plod, their part was to have ex Det Con “Reds” Haslam arrested by now. Until O’Loan uncovered his mendacity and serial fantasist spiel, Haslam was only duping a few folks, Alastair Morgan (whom, one is told, has woken up to it, but fears ridicule if he admits to being taken in) and Peter Jukes, a mortgage fraudster script writer.
Haslam was right at the edge of the Morgan murder, Haslam knew Alan “Taffy” Holmes, indeed, Haslam forced him into committing suicide and smeared the good name of a decent, wise, high ranking policeman.
There is plenty of material in the Goggzilla backlog, Thurnscoe, the attempted selling of Maxine Carr’s new identity and Haslam’s fondness for CSA imagery. One theory is that the half Jamaican ex psychiatric patient Haslam has “kompromat” on senior New Scotland Yard figures.
Haslam links to corrupt ex Det Ch Supt David Cook (Mr Jacqui Hames) who also, thus far, has evaded the usual welcome for bent cops going to jail (razors in the shower, body fluids in the food).
Haslam fled Norfolk and is now in (redacted) south east England. He has become toxic, indeed, a cursory glance online evinces just how poisonous his reputation is.
From peddling myths about Holmes death and a billion dollar drugs shipment (less prosaically, Daniel Morgan’s murder was connected to the Bonnici drugs cartel, Gozo) and Haslam fitting up animal rights activists in the “Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty” case, “Joe Poulton” has a grim future. Old Bill delenda est.
