Yates and the Groovy gang.

Another good article from Mr Gillard on “The Up Setter”. This time, dealing with SERCs and the fall out over Neil Putnam’s confessions. John Yates is implicated. What of the Groovy Gang, Kingston, O’Connell and Reynolds? The CCRC were unimpressed when Karen Todner tried to exonerate them, but what went on behind the scenes? Those who are interested may Google the articles on the internet, some are from the Guardian and therefore to be treated with caution.

The “Groovy gang” case fell apart, due, in large measure, to legally privileged documents being passed to the prosecution by half Jamaican, ex psychiatric patient, ex Det Con “Reds” Haslam. Gillard also alludes to Neil Hibberd, the same Hibberd who sabotaged the acquittal of Ali Kololo, an innocent Kenyan.

As to the Stephen Lawrence murder, the murky role of New Scotland Yard in framing and fitting up ought to be enlightened quite soon.

About Ciaran Goggins
