16 minutes in – It was over two years after the murder that Sid Fillery joined “Southern Investigations” and not “shortly after”. He spent only four days on the case.
Kim James – the unsound conviction of Jonathan Rees went before the CCRC. Why was the voice of ex Det Con “Reds” Haslam omitted from the tape recording? On that point I recently checked some notes of mine from ten years ago. “You got it wrong on Haslam’s Dad being Jamaican. It was his Grandfather”.
The motive for the murder, the podcast goes with Morgan about to expose police corruption. Wrong. There was an overtime scam at Catford but that is not news worthy. The “massive police corruption” dates from 2003 and serial fantasist Haslam wanting to make money and be on TV. O’Loan found “no evidence, no proof” of any allegation made by Haslam.
The real motive was either – adultery, Morgan was an enthusiastic cuckold, or the Bonnici drugs syndicate of Gozo, Malta, and a missing consignment.
Soon, in a few months, anyway, the real reason why Alan “Taffy” Holmes committed suicide.
