One must presume that Paul Ponting of Ormskirk is either very unfortunate, or else guilty of the many allegations against him. His nocturnal hobbies do not interest me, but when he jumps into the Daniel Morgan murder, then I take some notice.

I had a scintilla of sympathy for Ponting until discovering that he also posts mendacious messages, and that he links to disgraced ex cop Det Con “Reds” Haslam.

Regular readers of Goggzilla will note that I have no issue with northern constabularies. Essex Police, Hertfordshire Police, Kent Police, Lincolnshire Police and Norfolk Police plus one or two others, are the bulk of my focus. Lancashire? No problem. South Yorkshire, Northumbria? Minimal. Greater Manchester? Apart from Ian Hurst, not on my radar.
West Yorkshire Police are cause for concern, and it is eyebrow raising that Ponting attacks Neil Wilby. I am not great fan of Wilby, but at least he does not live in the “conspiracy” world of Ponting.
Now to Lord Lucan. A wise old owl told me that the true target of the murder was not Lady Lucan, but Sandra Rivett, the family nanny, who was going to testify against Lord Lucan at court and in favour of child custody being granted to his ex wife. Thus, we have motive, however, Sandra altered her usual night off immediately before the murder,so how could Lord Lucan have known? The intended target was indeed his wife.
